TAKE ACTION TO ENSURE PROP 22 &
WILL OF VOTERS IS PROTECTED
In March 2023, the California Court of Appeal issued a decisive opinion upholding Prop 22 and the will of the voters. Shortly after this victory, opponents filed a petition asking the California Supreme Court to review and the Court recently decided to do so. The challenge was brought forth by special interests who want to roll back the historic benefits provided by Prop 22 and eliminate independent app-based work.
It is shameful that special interests continue to undermine the will of the overwhelming majority of Californians who voted for Prop 22 and drivers who want to remain independent contractors. We remain confident that the Supreme Court will uphold Prop 22 to protect the people’s right of initiative and the overwhelming will of California voters.
