Dozens of rideshare and food delivery drivers gathered in Sacramento to drum up support for Proposition 22. They set up a booth Thursday afternoon in Albert Winn Park at 29th and P streets.

Prop. 22 was launched in response to AB 5, which is a law that was passed and implemented at the start of the year. The law requires California companies to classify workers as employees instead of independent contractors.

Drivers told KCRA 3 they enjoy the flexibility the independent contractor format offers and support Prop. 22.
